New Orleans based Artist Jeremy Joyce re-releases his Louisiana Anthem “My Little Peace of Mind” with striking Lyric Video shot in Lutcher Louisiana in the “River Parish” of St. James.

Originally from Philadelphia, PA Jeremy Joyce wrote the song after visiting the River Parish for a Christmas Eve gathering. “Some places just feel like home, even if it’s not your home. I felt that there and connection to the deep cultural roots of South Louisiana”

At its core “Peace of Mind” is a Cajun Rock song, but Joyce’s Philly and NJ roots show with a sound treatment that more reflects the rock sounds of his motherland. Alex Geddes’ (Durand Jones) ripping sax solo dueling with Joyce’s eighties shred stylings, elevate the track to fist pumping banger.

OffBeat.com Article - JJ Shreds and The Chompers invade New Orleans

My Little Peace of Mind

The lead single My Little Peace of Mind is a modern ode to South Louisiana, written in a cajun style but performed like the E-Street Band. The track cascades into a complimentary but dueling guitar solo with saxophonist Alex Geddes (Durand Jones) going definitively rock and roll under the expert mixing of Mike Harvey (Samantha Fish). The chorus will have you singing along and wondering whether it’s all about a girl or a piece of land.

Da Chomp

The second single, instrumental Da Chomp, takes us into outer space reminding us that JJ Shreds and The Chompers isn’t just a rock band. JJ Shreds is from outer space and The Chompers are mutant alligators. Da Chomp’s cosmic groove is held down by funky bassist Bob Kling (Jovin Webb American Idol) and time keeper extraordinaire Adam Everett (Lena Prima). We definitely know we are in space when Anuraag Pendyal’s  psychedelic keyboard solo lifts off!

Be Good To Each Other

Part funk get-down, part psychedelic meltdown, the chompers take us on a journey from shred metal to spoken word.
